Hi

Does anybody knows if on the 3320 the SMS Alert sound plays only once, and then flashes the red ligth, or after a while sounds again?

Thanks

The alerts are based on what is set in the profile. Check the profile.

it only plays once. you'll need a third party application if you want repeat/reminder tones.

Well, on the profile under Number of Beeps, the mas is 3, and under Repeat Notifications the option are None or Led Flashing.

My question is if there is a way to make it beep after five min for instances, in case the message is unread.

This should be an option...as well as multiple alarms, two basic things all celly's have that BlackBerrys are missing. C'mon RIM, don't make us buy third party aps for this stuff.

Thanks Takeshi! I will send my suggestions to RIM, although I would guess they're aware of these shortcomings.

Wirelessly posted

Yea, you all keep saying "third party app" but aren't giving a name. Are there any?

Yup. Try entering the keywords "blackberry repeat alert" (or similar keywords) into Google or the search function here.

Here are a couple of leads:

BlackBerryForums.com : Your Number One BlackBerry Community - Search Results
blackberry repeat alert - Google Search

I can't say for certain but I'd suspect that if they received more requests for a desired feature over others that they would be more likely to implement it...
