Stu! Why have I not noticed you on here until now. What happened? Where you cryogenically frozen for the last year?

Good to see you again!

And Darth, thanks for the heads up! Although not sure if I will get approval yet, I just got off the phone & I have a room at the gov rate. Woo hoo!

Hey dude how's it going?!?! I would love to blame the guys at CryoLabs(TM) but a combination of very stable BESs (shush, don't tell them that) and being an Exchange admin has conspired to keep me away from my drinking (and philosophising) buddies!

But now I have gone from lurking to posting again and as I have finally upgraded my BESs, I probably have some real knowledge to contribute one more It's nice to be missed though

Arrival? Departure?
Another happy BBF poster regarding WES 2009. I think I'm going to keep track of who owes me a drink!
stuwhite - he will ALWAYS owe me a drink just like I will ALWAYS owe him one too; it's a perpetual bond
CanadianCrack - for the uber writeup
mahoward - for the government rate tip

More to come and I tighten my TelecomSith Grip on the BlackBerry world!

I'm a senior bes admin but but I don't actually do the things like install the bes or upgrade it so I don't think I would be able to justify this trip?

Arriving Monday, departing Friday. So at least I wont have to skip out early Thursday this time around. They didn't have the gov rate available for the night of the 7th but the nice man checked with someone and gave it to me.

I think I am destined to go, even if I don't have approval, or a job for that matter... I'll just take the funds out of my 401K before they drop any further

That's good news about departing Friday. You can stick around for the (now) traditional Thursday night Buffet & Oompa Show at the Germany Pavillion in Epcot.
When is your flight Friday? Morning or late in the day?

YAHOO!!!!

I've been approved to go to WES.

Thank you to Darthbberry and Stuwhite for your help in getting my approval.

I booked the Mariott - couldn't get the gov rate though - it wasn't available. I gave it the old college try by saying my co-worker was able to get the gov rate...please, can I too? They almost went for it, but asked for his hotel confirmation number or last name so they could look it up. Crap - they caught me. Couldn't give the info, so ended up at 217/night.

Hey boys and girls... be careful with registration. There seems to be a problem where information is not saved correctly or the right price applied to requested services.
Be sure to double & triple check your options and pricing before clicking [REGISTER NOW]. I've already got a call into Registration Services to correct my profile before I even try to complete registration.

Discount codes for Verizon and Sprint have been released. Please contact your wireless provider for details. Or bribe ME since I have them both! LOL

There's also a discount code for government.

Last year I took the level 1 training and my work was going to pay for level 2 this year.
But level 2 is not an option you can select when registering.
You can either take level one, or a combo of level 1 & 2 with exam coupon.
Called registration and they advised that since the courses are now based
on BES 5, I can't get into the Friday level 2 without having taken the Monday Level 1 training.

Not sure I want to take the level 1 training again.
Hnmmm...what to do........

Discount code for WES registration for Government? How much cheaper can you get than $1,199.00 USD? (-$100 for alumni & -$300 for vendor code).

I didn't sign up for the Admin 1 & 2. Too much money. But I did register for the Hands-On BES5 labs.

All codes in and I'm paying $2.99 with a free shirt!!
Just kidding.
I guess it doesn't matter which code you use - they're all $300, and from what I saw you can only enter one.

Looking forward to the lab as well.
Last year I kept the paddle that says "Blackberry Enterprise Administrator"
and ocassionally I parade around work with it to announce my arrival

Do you have to apply the vendor code at registration or can you register and go back and apply it later?
