Question Ramble problems

Please Login to Remove!

Hi!

I am trying to log into my aol IM account using ramble but I keep getting an error that says

Quote:
Invalid Connection String: cound not open tunnel - failed
If this is an obvious solution, sorry. I am new with my BB. If it helps, I am using my blackberry with TelCel in Mexico. I have used some of the trial versions of the other IM products and they worked fine.

Thanks!
BTR

Yes i am getting the same error as well. I think i have to buy the HostBES thing for like 10$ but i think thats for CDMA, and i have Cingular so i dont know what the deal is. Maybe its the firewall...

I dont know, AIM is always messed up. I cant even log in on my regular desktop... I feel like im almost there with the Ramble. I changed a few things around in the Firewall, but nothing changed, so i put it all back.

Hi all,

After lots of playing around on the phone and reading online, I found that you have to change the settings in TCP (Options, Advanced Options, TCP). I had to put the info that was specific to my carrier (Telcel/Mexico). You can find those settings online for most carriers.

Hope this helps,
BTR

Success i got it to work. I changed the TCP for my service provider (cingular) and changed the firewall to allow my interactions and connections. Works perfect. Thanks guys.
