Once it is set by the BES Administrators, you can't change it.

Are you the designated Corporate BES Administrator?

This is BES admin 101. I would suggest a review of the BES admin documentation.

Huh? It wasn't obvious from the OP that he was a BES Admin.

We are in the playbook section. RIM already announced before the PB OS2 came out that Mobile Fusion would not be available until end of March 2012.

So it would seem that either RIM released it early which is odd, or the enterprise password he's talking about is the one you create after you add an exchange account to your PB. Like I have already done, even though I am not on BES.

I am also experiencing this issue. After installing OS2 and adding an enterprise email account, the PB asked for a password. This is not an administrator assigned and managed password but one the PB user adds on the fly during setup of the account on the PB.

I would like to know where you go to either change this password or change the time that elapses before the email locks? It does not appear to be something that is easy to find.

Any tips will be appreciated.

I too would like to know how to change this timer, it has nothing to do with BES (I am BES admin too). This is the Blackberry Balance that is activated when an ActiveSync email account to an exchange server is created. Its a nice idea but a major PITA as it forces the use of a complex secure password and seems to have no way of altering the time out to locking.

Until mobile fusion comes out and your company spends the few grand on it, oh and this providing you have BES 5.x installed (not bes express). You won't be able to change the enterprise password time out period.

Besides why would you want to increase it?

It's bad practice to turn off security on something that is very important such as work email as most companies that are smart want to have very little data leakage in their environment.

I enjoy the playbooks security features as it stands now. Something that possibly Apple will pickup on one day. The iPad2 has no security, so if someone is looking on your iPad they can snoop inside your emails which on a business is very bad.

This is your answer if you have BES 5.x installed (works only on non-express).

So if you are using Exchange Active Sync to get your mail, wouldn't the password/timeout be governed by the EAS security controls?

Maybe but this doesn't require a BESAdmin as so many people in this thread believe it does!

Until later in the thread I didn't notice it was a PlayBook.
Since you have so many issues with the PlayBook, I am sure you understand.
