Ready to upgrade what, the phone?
The service?
Both?
From what phone?
From what type of service?
What features do they want?
What features do they need?
What features do they not need?

Thank you for your response. I think you are complicating things.

Unlimited plan.

Ah ha! Now it's starting to make a little more sense, even if only just one baby step at a time. I am getting the idea that you want to know if this user should go ahead and get a phone now, or if they should just wait for the next great thing. Is that right?

You know... you could have avoided all of this by simply asking "should this user upgrade now or wait for the 97xx or 85xx?" instead of simply asking "what do you suggest?" Way too vague.

ak, your initial post was confusing... I clicked on this thread, thinking the thread was asking advice on what procedures to take for the new Bold OS upgrade (all the rage and excitement over on the Bold section).

But yea, probably expect the 9020 out for Christmas sales... the 85xx, I am not sure ATT will be getting it very soon, but you could certainly unlock a TMO model for ATT.

Hi. I'm a sales rep for AT&T. If the user has a BlackBerry and uses it for BlackBerry functions, I would stick to a smartphone, perhaps a Samsung Jack or BlackBerry 8900. Otherwise, the Eternity is a great option and maintains the LED indicator feature with an iPhone-esque UI. If you tether, wait for the BB 9700 or get one of the Samsungs.

Sorry... I can't help ask.

Excuse my candid question: You are a sales rep for AT&T but your carrier is T-Mobile?

On AT&T, the BlackBerry Bold is the high water mark. There's that, and then there's everything else.

Asking a clearer question next time. And including what the user needs/wants. From the context, it seems like "latest and greatest" above all else but specifying that would help.
