i think Rim could have hit a grand slam...it's a home run as is.... if they just went the extra yard on a few things.

-camera should have been at least 3.2 mp or 4 mp....why have a hi rez screen and same old cam?

-better browser

-thinner/even better form factor....its nice but could have been better

-full html email....i wanna see this working on the bold....skeptical

Full HTML email works already, 9000 will also have it.
Better browser, considering the device isnt finished yet, in terms of software, it will only get better
camera i cant fault you on, though with 3/4 of my devices having cameras, i rarely if ever use it. the high resolution screen is going to be for media not really for the camera (though at 480x320, 2mp (being 1600x1200) will show up just fine)

there is no reason not to add 3.2 mp sensor or 5mp like nokia does

you cant print 2mp photos

i love using my curve for pics but quality sucks....now its even faster to use on 9000

said i cant fault you for the camera, just saying if you are just viewing on device (as per the screen resolution comment) 2mp wont matter nearly as much as if you were printing. I would have liked to see a 3.2mp but honestly that is probably the last feature I would think of on this device to use. just speaking of me

What part of the 9000 makes you cautious?

It will be one of the biggest sellers RIM ever had!

It is, at last, everything in one single device! These are great times for RIM and their users!

Its not about cutting corners. If they make a "perfect" device, then there will be nothing to improve on for the next version. Thats why for every single device out there, regardless of what it is, there are pros and cons.

Hi all,

Well whilst i have been interested in BB's for quite a while the Bold at last ticks all the things i need as being in the UK a non 3G/HSDPA device is a non starter for me.

I tried an iPhone and whilst it has great build quality the Touch screen drove me to distraction and i just hated it, well at least it convinced me a Touch Screen just isn't for me any longer.

All i have to do is wait for the Bold to be available to see how i get on with a BlackBerry but from what i have seen and read so far i can't wait.

Marc
