Default I don't have Exchange, Notes or Groupwise...

I asked this before the crash, but I think for us noobs, it's good to have it back again.

Our email server is only a simple POP3/SMTP/IMAP server.

Does BES work for us? Is there any value in having BES if you do not have any of the 3 email servers?

I know there are companies out there that can host for you, but from what I can tell, it's a wholesale move of the domain, not an individual email account.

OK, you experts, shed some light on this for a dumb noob.

Thanks.

Well a normal BWC account should be fine for you.

The BWC will work just fine. Allows you to collect email from up to 10 POP3 accounts and the BWC will poll for email every 15min. Only downside if any is you can only have one sent from address.

As far as some of the options you get with BES in managing security policies and all that, you will not be able to take advantage of them. Sorry :(

Finch,

Thanks.

Right now BWC does work fine for us. However, we have 4 BB's and I see that growing.

Having control over these 4 and any new one's coming on board would be helpful.
