Question 8700 white screen

Please Login to Remove!

I bought unlocked 8700 on ebay (brand new) unfortunately when I turn the phone on it just welcomes me with a white, bright screen, no text, no icons no anything. No matter if T-Mo sim is in or out.

Can I correct this myself? Thank you for any help.

Sounds like the phone OS is shot. You can go and check the very first post in to 8700 forum for the latest phone OS for your device and download that and then follow the instructions on how to upgrade your phone.

That should fix your problem.

Unbelievable.

I sent the phone back (with disconnected battery) but it was returned because fedex doesn't deliver to p.o boxes.

I wanted to make sure that phone wasn't damaged or something before I send it again via usps and voila - it worked.

If anyone has this problem, try removing battery for a longer period of time.

Thanks,

Luke

Good to hear that you're up and running now. I guess the phone just needed a little vacation time before you start to work it like crazy
