Hey guys.
I know most of you are over in the U-S of A
I was just randomly browsing the US 'Carriers' (as you call them) websites looking at the BB's that you get that we dont.
Your price plans really confuse me
You seem to not get any inclusive text messages... do you guys not text message?
And your price plans seem so expensive... i mean maybe they're not to you, but when i get my BB on friday (wooooo excited) i'll be paying 30 (or $60) a month whereas some of your base tarrifs are about $50
Meh, just curious.
It'd be nice to know though

I pay $120, or i guess 60 pounds for Unlimited BB Data, Unlimited Messaging, and 900 minutes/unlimited nights/weekends. doesnt seem that much out of the realm from there. our plans are not inclusive, generally, but you can pick and choose what you like.

Thats actually pretty good.
For about 60 over here on say TMO youre getting 3900 OR 1950 minutes but it's an extra 10 on top for a BB Data Plan
Then again, you dont have to have a minimum price plan to add BB Data on top
Oh well
Cheers for the insight peeps

$59.99 for 1000 talk minutes, unlimited text messages, unlimited BB data. Also includes tethering so I can hook up my laptop to the internet. For $9.99 more I could add unlimited UMA minutes.
The plans are confusing as heck for the most part. Sometimes there are regional promotions going on as well. Text messaging is included with some plans and has to be added onto others.

Hey, take it easy, not like he's from France or something.....
I have the $139.99 family share with 2100 minutes and unlimited bb data on two lines (one bb, one not). I don't text at all.

When I take out a 12 months contract with O2 UK, for 25 pounds + 10 pound blackberry unlimited, I will get my 8310 for free, what's the initial cost of the phone there in the states.

got mine for $50 after rebate. You do have us beat greatly on device pricing.

I know we have you beat there as we get the Bb's free on certain voice tarrifs and I must say that this surprises me as almost everything else in the US is cheaper than here.
I also beleive that US users also pay for calls & messages received...... we don't when we are in the UK but do get charged for receiving when abroad.

We do have you beaten
But on the other hand, you have different devices to us, which is slightly unfair, i.e. the 8830 and the 8130
Then again... you dont have the 8820 and the 8120... and we do... =S
Confusion!!!

i agree, you do have us beat on device pricing. if you take into account the currency, i have 900minutes, unlimited night/weekend, unlimited text, MMS, email, and data usage for 120$ or roughly 60 pounds. Not a bad plan price, but i also use alot more than most. you can get plans on some carriers here with the same for $90 or 45 pounds.
