Hi, I've just downloaded the new Facebook onto my BlackBerry curve, this is the one with 'Places' on it, every time I go on there it just says 'Your location is temporarily not available' I don't want to ring up services or whatever because I really can't be bothered with it. Please help x

That's because the 8520 doesn't have GPS.

Probably that's why my facebook has a hard time working correctly. My 8520 doesn't have GPS i just heard. I'll probably switch to the 3G curve then. Thank you.

Even without GPS you should get some cell tower triangulation. I can't remember what options there are under Options >Advanced Options >GPS but if there is any "location aiding" in there you want that enabled.

I have a Curve 8530 thru Verizon and Places does not work for me either. I have GPS enabled. I've done battery pulls. I have checked my PC and fixed all settings. Still, all it read is "your location is temporarily not available". It's been like for 3 days now.

Anyone know the fix?
