RUMOR: iPhone coming to 4 additional US carriers?

Of course it's all rumor and speculation, but sure sounds interesting:
Apple May Allow All U.S. Carriers to Sell IPhone (Update3) - Bloomberg.com
Would you consider getting an iPhone if it was on another carrier?

Interesting. The iPhone coming to Verizon rumor revamped and now on steroids? Where's Mark McGwire and Barry Bonds

I think the iphone on all carriers in inevitable. At this point, anyone who wants an iphone and doesn't mind ATT, has one. The holdouts are those who don't want to leave their current carrier for whatever reason. Its coming, and I'm betting very soon.

Yea, but AT&T isn't in every market.
It blows in my neck of the woods, but if Sprint get the iPhone (who I currently have for a personal device) then I may have to take 2nd look. Ok, maybe just a peek.

I'm currently waiting on the tablet announcement tomorrow. That is where my money will be going next, and hopefully soon. The iPhone 4 could be an interesting option, but Apple will really need to rework the notifications and phone portions of the device before I would bother looking at one again.

Buying the iSlate or whatever it is called depends on if you can ink on it or not. Can't see spending that amount of money if I can't ink on it.

I'd consider an iPhone on Verizon. ATT blows in AZ, absolutely blows, even in Phx. I plan on considering whatever android phone is on top next year when I move on from the 8900. Vzn is solid here.

I was going to go for an iphone because it looked fun and a lot of people had them at work. We had to do a training class on data, and they had us read an article on Crackberry that was "Top Ten Reasons BlackBerrys are Better Than the Iphone". It made me rethink what I actually wanted from a device and what I was looking for. Then the Lavender 8520 came out and I fell in love.
I am not looking to go back, I've made my decision.
