I was able to successfully pre-order the Tour this morning and I'm a current VZW customer. I went to Verizon's website for the Tour,
Verizon Wireless, selected "Pre-Order Now," selected Upgrade Your Phone under "Already a Verizon Wireless customer?," logged in and then took things from there. So, perhaps the glitch was fixed this morning? I have a feeling the phone won't actually arrive until 7/13 (since 7/12 is a Sunday and I don't think FedEx delivers on Sunday's) but at least it's pre-ordered and I won't have to deal with the mayhem in the stores.
