Just got a blackberry 8700c and I am not having a problem going to the web, can view google perfectly. The problem comes in when I go to my bank or credit cards. I get the " wrong web browser config, you need 128 bit security to view. Is there a solution, I have tried changing the emulation mode but this does not work. Is there a 3rd party software that can help??
No, the BB doesn't support that ADVANCE of a feture on its browser. Look into seeing if they have a WAP site, a few do. If you do a search this has been talked about a few times.
You need to use the desktop software to install ssl/tls support. hbomb341 is correct that it has been talked about before, but is 100% wrong about the bb not supporting it.
Why people post incorrect info thinking they know what they are talking about, I'll never know.
HUH? I get to all SSL sites I want with my 8700C and didn't install anything special. For banking. I have to change emulation mode to Microsoft IE. I am on T-Mobile. It works via my BES and TMOs browser.
