As soon as I logged in to the Bell BIS site I was asked if I wanted to upgrade.

They must be staggering the upgrade. I wasn't prompted when I signed onto my Bell BIS account today...

Further to above:
When I reloaded the page, I was then prompted to upgrade after login...

FYI: By default, the signature shows "Sent from my Blackberry wireless device". If this doesn't appeal to you, remember to remove it.

I like that I can now select which email account I wish to send from on the handheld. This has been a wish for a while now....

I spent an hour switching all my "server-side forward" accounts do nothing, then added them to be polled by the BIS.
Then I realized, I was giving up the "instant" mail forward, and went back to the old settings.
It's handy to switch "reply from", but having to wait anywhere from 0 - 15 minutes for mail isn't enough of a trade-off.
If instantaneous e-mail isn't important, then it would totally make sense to set up all of your accounts to be polled.

That's odd....mail from my external accounts is still pushed down to the handheld in real time....I've tested this on all accounts. No waiting for the account to be polled...

all my accounts that i have forwarded down to my bell.blackberry.net (email account side, ie. filter: send a copy of all mail to [email address]) is real time, but anything I added for the BIS to extract mail from, ie. sympatico.ca, joescully.com all were polled in the 0 - 15 minute window.
from what I've read, only IMAP accounts are real time...but I don't know for sure.

only Yahoo! accounts and Exchange/Domino accounts added using mail connector are realtime - everything else is still up to a 15 min delay

Default Special Characters?

I'm also with Bell using a 7130.

Using the mail connector, I am getting funny characters in the body of any replies or forwards. This text does not appear in the newest text... just in the email that I am forwarding or replying to...

characters like  or others.. it seemst at quotes, carriage returns and other characters are being replaced...

anyone else? I called for support but they're telling me they don't suppor it yet ?!

I've called Bell again on this, and they have opened a ticket for me this time. If anyone is interested in the outcome, please post and I will update when I have anything.
