Default BES or Device?

Please Login to Remove!

A client of mine has BES 4.1 and a BOLD 9780 device. He's sync'ed to the server however when he sends an email out from his Outlook it shows up on his device which he doesn't want. Is there a setting to remove this feature on BES or the device?

Thanks
Andrew

When I look under the new OS I don't see that option, can you confirm?

The BOLD 9780 has the same firmware as the Torch.

Thanks

Perform the following steps to hide Sent email messages from the Messages Inbox on the BlackBerry smartphone:

1. On the BlackBerry Smartphone, first go into the Messages folder.

2. Press the Menu key or the Track Wheel and select Options from the menu list.

3. Select General Option.

4. Set the Hide Sent Messages option to 'Yes'.

5. Save the setting and check the Messages folder to make sure the sent emails are not showing anymore.

"3. Select General Option."

No such options under Messages -> Options.

There is only the following options:

Message Display and Actions
Inbox Managment
Email Preferences
Email Filters
Email Reconciliation
Email Account Managment
Spell Check
Text Messaging

This is of course under OS 6.x which is what the Torch and BOLD 9780 use!!

Please advise!

Undo the action as already described in this thread, as that hides all sent mail.

Then disable redirection of the SENT folder from outlook, on the BB or BES.

This means that messages sent from OUTLOOK will not redirect (appear on) the BB.
Mail sent from the BB will appear on the BB and also in Outlook.
