Default Bold 9700 and OS 6

Please Login to Remove!

I am running OS6 on my 9700 and would like to know how I can separate my BIS email from my BES email having two separate message folders?

Thanks
Andrew

Messages > Options > Inbox Settings and select which you want in your main Messages folder, and which you do not.

No such option in OS 6.

In the option which is close it's called "Inbox Managment" it only gives you the following:

Email Accounts:
() Desktop

Other Message Types:
() Text Messages
() Visual Voice Mail

the () are check boxes.

Email Account Management shows me my @blackberrry.net email account but there doesn't seems to be away to select which goes where??

Oh ok, the path on OS 6 is different, sorry. But you found it.

The [email address] email will only go to the main Messages folder. Other BIS email accounts like gmail, hotmail, private domains, etc., can be removed to their own message folders, along with SMS messages.

I have another question, after figuring out that I needed to go into my messages and select options then select inbox management and remove the check mark from the "desktop" box under email accounts I realized today that I can only send emails from my BES account and not from my BIS account. Is there something else I am missing in OS 6, some other setting?

THanks
Andrew

That that restriction to only send from your BES account is likely a BES IT Policy, and on most BES, it is the default policy, i.e., restrict sending mail to only the BES account.

So were do I change it in BES Express?

I guess it's a default setting, as I installed BES Express this past weekend and haven't touched any of the settings...

Why don't you post a new thread on that specific topic over in the BES section (cause I don't know the answer, I'm not a BES person).
