Thumbs up POP3 email ? Please

Please Login to Remove!

I'm thinking of adding email to my 8300 service (AT&T). This is for home usage (Cox Cable is my email provider) it is a POP3 account. I do not want my BB to delete mail from the server so I can still get all my email as usual from my home computer. AT&T says the BB will not delete mail from the server. Is this correct? AT&T tech support has been known to make errors occasionally.

I believe it is specific to your ISP - you should have the option to set whether emails that are accessed via POP are either deleted or kept on the server. That's the case with Gmail, at least

Wirelessly posted

You will be fine; the BB won't delete. The issue will be whether Outlook deletes from the server "too quickly."

that is correct, the bb will push it , unless you delete on hand held and mailbox off the hand held, the emails will be on the mail server till you download them on a pc, unless your pc checks ever so often your email and it might download them before bis gets them.
