hey guys!
i hope you can help me, i'm trying here for hours and i can't get it done.. :S
so i have a BB curve 8520 in austria and i have the newest BBM version on it, it works just fine with some friends. now my boyfriend has the same BB in hungary but we can't manage it to find eachother pins and to finally try the BBM out... :( i also guess that he has an older version because he says that he doesn't have a profile pic so i would assume that he doesn't have the newest version... i can't really help from here because we can only skype so i can't do anything and it's his first BB so he doesn't really know where to look for help so it's all on me but i don't know what to do anymore. it just says "pending awaiting for confirmation" and if he adds me, just the same. :S
please please help me as fast as you can, if you have an idea what we could do!

Sounds like your boyfriend needs a BlackBerry data plan.

Your PIN, on each and any BlackBerry is found at Options > Status... or on the white sticker underneath the battery.

Remove each other's pending contact from BlackBerry Messenger. Delete the pending contact. Then do a reboot of the device, with the BlackBerry powered ON, remove the battery a minute and replace it to reboot.

After getting back running, you can go to your Messages folder > Compose PIN and test sending your friend a PIN message. Does he receive it? Does it show a D beside the message for Delivered?

Now, add him back, or vice versa, but both of you do NOT need to add the other. Just add him and let him accept it. Add him via his PIN number.

thanks for the quick response. i think he has a BB data plan, he just got a new sim card and everything today with the phone and he can already use internet on his phone so i don't get it why BBM doesn't work... :S
