Default How to deactivate internet access/data services

Please Login to Remove!

I will be on a short holiday abroad soon and I want to prevent my BB 7230 from going online to avoid roaming costs.

I found plenty of information on how to turn of roaming/data services on newer BBs, but I haven't found such information for the 7230.

Would be great if somebody could help me.

Thank you

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I had a 7250. From my recollection, I went to the Manage connections icon and turned it off.

I can't find any "manage connections" icon. In the newer Blackberries the option to switch those services off is apparently under Options/Network.. but on th 7230 I can merely determine the network provider I want to use + automatic/manual in this menu.

Anyone with a 7230 who can help?

Many thanks

Trent, I know you're just trying to help, but there is no reason to bump 6 month old threads.

Listen, learn, read, THEN post.
First step is to get your 7230 BlackBerry.
Then learn how to use it.
Then post.

If a thread is dead over 3 months, it is dead. No need to post to it.

Trent, I've been very nice to you. I'm trying to help you. There is etiquette involved with forum usage, and I'm trying to help you follow it so that you can have a positive experience here.

Please follow the advice given by NJBlackBerry and myself.

A moderator can delete your account if you really think that is the right answer, but I think you should stay here so that you can learn and contribute positively to our community. However, you will need to follow forum etiquette and also ensure you post correct information when you attempt to help others.

Thanks,
dc/dc
