Default RIM Network is having issues

Please Login to Remove!

Just got off the phone with RIM support. They seem to have an intermittent network outage that they are aware of, and working on.

Our BES pending messages went all the way up to 600 messages, then down to 18. Now stuck again and back up to 45 or so.

Anybody else experiencing issues?

My BES redirector is show no messages pending even though dozens are. The time of last received by handheld is fiction -- mine is showing last message received by handheld was about 45 minutes ago, but it really was 2.5 hours ago. Oddly, I can send from BES or BIS (TMO via Yahoo) from the handheld, I just haven't received anything on the handheld.

Anyone want to bet on whether or not this is for software "upgrades" for the work around?

There is another thread (which you started) about T-Mobile having issues in LA. My BES messages are appearing instantly onto my BB; may be a local issue.

Well, I can send RIM PIN messages, but I cannot receive them (however, I got delivery confirmation on PIN message that I sent).

Noting the comments from the New Yorkers above, it may be more than just LA.

It may be starting to unclog.... I just got the delayed PIN message and a couple of BIS/Yahoo messages that are an hour old.

Still none of the BES messages.

My pending messages are now over 100. Been on hold for 45 minutes now too..
I am guessing this is more than just NY..

Maybe Judge James Spencer got angry and shut down RIM but only to selective customers.

Support said there was an outage affecting BES users from about 15:00 - 16:00 central. There are still problems affecting Redirector users.

Well, it appears to be occuring again today in LA. My last message was at 5:19am PST, and it is now almost 8am PST.

PS: Nevermind. It turns out it was my BES host, who was having one of its truly rare problems.
