Default AT&T Data? With one?

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my bb pearl weeks ago. This is my first smart phone so I'm a newbie in this. I just added the MEDIA WORKS BUNDLE to my phone. But it doesn't seem like the internet and other things are working (like IM also). And i also wanted to know if MEDIA WORKS BUNDLE has the internet and stuff like that. Also on the account manager page on att page it says this: "U1536: Due to the recent change in your rate plan, we are unable to display usage information until after your next billing cycle begins on 11/29/2007." I added the Media works bundle like two weeks ago or so.

Thank you and srry if i posted in the wrong section.

Media Works Bundle is not a Blackberry Data Plan. If you want full BB services you need the Blackberry Internet Service Plan (Blackberry Data Plan.)

It's a data plan for standard cell phones. The Blackberry isn't a standard cell phone and requires a special Blackberry Data Plan.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8700/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

Also they won't be able to show usage until you start next billing cycle online atleast! Your bill will certainly reflect this!

Just ad the BB 39.99 plan or 49.99 plan depending on how many texts you desire 1500 or unlimited or if none select the 29.99 bb plan

You may need to just call them on the phone.

There is no pay-for-use internet with the BB. Well, there is but you won't get full BB services. You can use a few 3rd party apps like Opera Mini Browser and some other apps but no push email, no BB Browser, no pin messaging, etc.

Yes, however, you'll need a browser like Opera Mini.

Default smartphone plan?

I also am looking to get the data plan from AT&T for my bb pearl but I'm wondering which $20 plan to get. Is it the Smartphone Connect Unlimited plan? Although it says "Smartphone Connect Data plans are applicable on Windows Mobile Smartphone devices only, which are the Cingular 2125, Audiovox SMT5600, and Motorola MPx 220. "

You need a data plan for "Blackberry." They have different names and they change them all the time so i can't keep up. Just make sure it specifies Blackberry in the details about it.

I was under the impression that I could use a non blackberry data plan an still be able to browse the internet with 3rd party apps like opera mini. I mainly want to be able to browse internet and use Aim

This is what I got from the sticky thread: http://www.blackberryforums.com/blac...data-plan.html
