Are the Exchange servers in question within the same
Exchange Organization? If so, then yes.
This was already answered.
As NJBlackBerry also suggested... you will want to have the BES as "close" to the Exchange servers as possible. If this involves remote WAN links, then those links should be reliable and low latency... preferably 35ms or lower.
