Just found this on the Motorola site while I was researching about the Miniblue H5 that hasn't been released yet (and it seems like it probably won't). From the photo they seem like the same headsets, anyone knows anything about this??
The H5 had problems so they pulled it for design modifications. Mot is releasing the new version as the H9. No one knows yet if and when it will be released.
My guess is that when it does get released the inital price of the thing may scare me away. I saw one guess on the price of $200. That is alot for a headset these days!

I hope it works like I think it will. I have not found a BT headset that fits tightly enough to my ear. I was going broke looking for one that was snug enough. even went back to a jabra wired one for when I was in the car so it fit tight enough into my ear canal. I have some high tone hearing, so any background noise (wind, cars, etc) kills me. There is enough "sound leakage" around the fit that I need something tighter. doesn't do me a lot of good to have a BT that i still have to hold because i cant hear. This one might do the trick.
This item is not available yet for purchase by consumers.
CC, have you physically seen one of these yet or seen someone wearing it? wonder how effective the earpiece thing is? Wouldn't be good to be drop kick it down the street if it doesn't fit tightly. Thanks
I have not seen this item yet, but can't wait for my orders to arrive. I currently have 60 on order as of to date. I want to own one for myself too and hoping to give members a better pricing for this item (between $135 - $145).
I was able to obtain a retail H9 this morning. Results are quite mixed.
First, the earpeice is snug, but not a headset to wear all day long like my PT510. It fits quite deep in your ear canal and for me is quite uncomfortable.
Second, I paired with my 8800 just fine, but volume is quite lower than expected considering it is jammed into my ear.
Outbound clarity is adequate; however, you do pick up a lot of ambient noise from around you.
Major static if earpeice is in right ear and phone is on left hip.
Voice dialing works as advertised. Just tap the multi function button and it pops right up.
Connect time for an incoming call is fine.
Talk time is more than my PT510, but with the feel and call quality (in and out) this one is not going to stay in my arsonal for daily use.

WOW... you must have a really good connection before any of the retailers can even receive their inventory.. or you got yourself a knockoff. Judging from your complaints, sounds like the latter.

Family member is a VP at Motorola. Also, local Sprint stores have them in stock.
