Default desktop manager required for 8300????

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

I heard that you need desktop manager to run the blackberry 8300. I dont think this is true since if you use an enterprise server everything is wirelessly synced. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks

This is basically the same principle for every blackberry to my knowledge unless I'm not understanding your post.

I am on BIS and only use my DM to sync with Outlook for backup purposes and just use the backup funtion. I hate Outlook and wish that RIM had their own DM like Palm

Default Needed

You will need Desktop Manager for any of the newer devices that have a media card. Media Manager is what controls the file sync between desktop and device.

Also if you reconcile against a PST you will still need Desktop Manager

It's a Blackberry. For some things and certain situations you need DM. For some you don't. Same as any other.

Actually you can use the windows file explorer to load media on, if you have the device set as a mass storage device.
