100% smaller? That would make it... nothing!?

I am looking forward to seeing it to decide between it and a 8800.

A question for anyone that has held an 8300.... does it have a lanyard hole?

Here are the dimensions I have, that are accurate to the best of my knowledge.

114 x 66 x 14.0mm - 8800

106 x 60 x 15.5mm - 8300

107 x 50 x 14.5mm - 8100

I'm ready for the 8300 whenever it is released. I see it as a great design regarding size, shape and style.

Now, I do believe that among ALL the speculation on the 8300 (WiFi, 3G, Camera, etc.), that is the first time I have seen that question asked!

Amazing question, as far as I can tell it doesn't have a lanyard hole. Not sure about final prodution model, but I'm assuming it's the same. Also I know everyone knows what I meant, but I was simply saying that the BlackBerry 8300 is 100% definitely smaller than the 8800. Not that it was 100% smaller in size

Wouldn't want a scoopster's info to start another rumor.

Okay thanks... you've said you will try to do picture requests BG, how about an 8800, an 8300 in the middle and a 8100 on the other side pic?

I've actually did a cut out to these specifications and it's a tad wider and thicker than the Pearl. We're not talking by much at all. For a QWERTY, it's a great size phone.

I can't wait to get the official specs on this phone next week.

I've searched around through most of the threads here and on BG's site for the 8300, but I either missed it or just plain overlooked it. Is the screen size on the 8300 the same as the 8800? I'm guessing it is from all the pics, but with all this talk of dimensions, it got me wondering. I'll definitely jump all over an 8300 if it's close to the Pearl's size with the 8800 screen and the QWERTY keyboard.

_Yes_ the display size is exactly the same as the 8800, so in my opinion the 8300 is The BlackBerry To Have!

Yes that's a nice way to get a visual of the size differences between those three models.

Just motivates me more, and test's my patience..... I want the 8300 soon!

some are too critical of BG. he only provides the info that he is given. he has no control over when delays occur like they normally do with tech launches. I would rather have him give some inside scoop thats speculation than nothing at all. And he never stated that the 80xx WILL come out on May 7th, it was just a rumor.

I believe that I will sit out the 83xx if and when it comes out on Tmo, I'll sit and wait for the 9xxx. Being that its a complete different UI, I'm more than positive that it will see even more delays and might not make it til early next year.
