I was always under the impression that 3G was a bigger power hog than wifi....

I think when you start using wifi instead of 3G you will notice longer battery life...

Yeah I think that is true as well, especially if you are in an area with low coverage. I unplugged yesterday at 6am so going on 36 hours now and I am down to 60% battery life. I logged quite a bit more use this time(for me at least), had 194 text messages, 10 emails, 2 minute phone call, WIFI on the whole time, but Bluetooth and GPS still off.

I had quite a bit of internet usage this time checking FB, Twitter, FML, Blackberry Forums, and Yahoo throughout my day at school and while at home away from computer. I would say I had about 20 minutes solid all together off internet use.

So again not sure how much is related to taking away BBM, but I definitely think it does help some and if not being used should be removed. Ok I will stop updating this thread I am sure people are tired of hearing about my battery life.

Yeah I would have to say so, seems idling on WIFI is better than trying to make sure you have a solid 3g connection.
