Hi All,

I will be upgrading our current BES 4.0 server to 4.1 in the very near future & was wondering if there is some good documentation out there? Does anyone have any tips/advice? I've only ever installed BES from scratch & have never upgraded from one version to the other. I backup my BES databases every evening & will take an image of the server before I attempt the upgarde so that I have something to fall back on if the worst happens. Is it simpy a case of putting the CD in the drive & upgrading?

The big thing is to backup the database and it sounds like you already have the side of it covered.

Make sure to read the upgrade guide and install guide. It is alwasy best to be at the highest version of 4.0 before going to 4.1. so for example if you are running 4.0 then you should be at SP7. Then you can go right to 4.1 SP6 if you wish.

I think you have to be at 4.0 MR 6 before you can upgrade to 4.1.6.
