Default BB 8830 with US Cellular?

Please Login to Remove!

We are going with US Cellular service, and I wanted to get use opinions on the 8830 and the US Cellular provider.

Any comments/help would be appreciated.

Thanks

The 8830 won't work on US Cellular. They are locked to Verizon or Sprint (unless US Cellular has their own version now).

I live in a US Cellular market (as in, there is no other choice with any carrier!) I could never get into US Cellular's offerings because of my travel, so I have always been a VZW customer. But 3-4 days a week my VZW 8830 is roaming on the USC network, and it works great. A friend of mine just got his 8830 on the USC plans and works just as well as mine.

We currently have 4 8830s on US Cellular and they work great. Coverage is very good in our area too! We are using a Lotus Domino BES.

I have US Cellular and work for US Cellular. The 8830 is by far the best BB I have owned. I have had the 7250, the 7130, and the 8830 blows them away. The sound quality is great. It is the first BB we have had that has voice activated dialing, and it is flawless. I have the jawbone and it works great with the 8830. The network in St. Louis is tied for least dropped calls with T-mobile.

Thanks for the update regarding the 8830 and USCellular. I'm in a market area that only supports/has stores for AT&T, T-Mob, Sprint and Verizon.
