Default Blackberry 957's replacement - the 5790 - Reception sucks?

We have quite a few employees here that use the old 957's and they are solid. They have great reception and user's never have problems with them. Then came the replacement - the 5790. The 5790 seems to have terrible reception, even though it runs on the same Mobitex network. Even when my users have 3 or 4 bars, the 5790 won't get their e-mail. A lot of folks come into the office, don't see their e-mail all day, and then on the drive home their entire days e-mail will download because reception is good enough.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with the 5790's? RIM replaced a solid device (957) with a lemon (5790).

If that's true, you should let RIM know about this.

Post on RIM's own forum, at RIMROAD, and HowardForums. And contact RIM directly too -- BlackBerry's own tech support.

Maybe it's a firmware issue. There's a BlackBerryOS 4 for the model 5790, which may help.
