I just purchased BlackBerry 8820 and tried to insert my SIM card from my old cell phone which is a Nokia 6230 following exactly what the instruction manual says.
(it can also be viewed online in many websites)
The problem is that my SIM card does not go not even half way in, it seems like something is blocking it. Is there a new, specific type of SIM cards that I should switch to ?
Pushing it harder it will only damage the SIM card, believe me I tried.
Only thing I can think of is you are trying to put it in the slot for the microSD card. Which to me is a very easy error if you never had this type of phone. I didn't realize my sim card was already installed and thought that was where I should put it. But, hey...I could just be slow! LOL

xxx65321;have ever made a same mistake with you. have fun.
I went by the store yesterday afternoon with my 8820 and they were all as perplexed as I am as to why the sim card could not fit in.
Some other user of the same device suggested that the SIM card must be slightly lifted up at the end and then slide it in. He had run into the same problem.
Had anybody else noticed that ? Apparently you'll get the sim card inside but it's a drag.
