Default GPRS Problem

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

I use the unlimited Blackberry plan from my service provider. I can browse the internet but if I want to use some application which need GPRS connection, I am unable to and the error says that I have no GPRS connection. The service provider is unable to give me a solution.

I have seen people use the application in other non blackberry devices with connection from the same service provider.

Please help.

Thanks

I am not positive, but I don't think the 8120 had GPS. That is the device listed is in your profile.

steve, GPS and GPRS [which the OP is talking about] are 2 different things.
The first is positioning, the second is a data network.

Does the app need a direct GPRS (raw TCP/IP) connection, or a BIS connection? Depending on your carrier, you might be getting BIS over a filtered GPRS connection, and not giving you raw TCP/IP access.
