Default New Update(BIS) - Same as Leaked Version (9530)

Please Login to Remove!

4.7.0.75 is now officially out for the 9530 and can be downloaded via desktop manager once plugged in to your computer...

It's the "legit" version for those who couldn't find the leaked one, but so far, still experiencing the same functionality as the leaked version (which I had no doubt anticipated).

It still managed to update the core files v.4.7 thru desktop manager, even with the previous upgrade so maybe it did something, if so, I haven't noticed yet, but it's only been a couple of hours...

report back if anyone notices anything!

(You can also check here for upgrades, but when I tried it didn't work)

best of luck!

Still not on the VZ site for BIS or BES. Until it is where it belongs I wouldn't assume anything.

I just received the update for my 9530 through Desktop Manager, but when I check the version number on the About screen it is still .65 (even after a battery pull), so not quite sure what this update was. So still waiting for .75.....

If you are in a hurry then just Google the .75 build, download and install it.

Donbp -- I know that can get a hold of the .75 update. I was confused by MHarvey124's post. I thought perhaps he was able to OTA update or something.

So this is weird. If I do a battery pull on my 9530 and plug it back in to the desktop manager it goes through the update again but I'm still at version .65 (I've done this 3 times to verify now). Am I missing something here (I am connected to BB Professional through my company as well)?

If you visit the Verizon web site and download the RIM OS Code package, there may be some apps included in that package which are a different version on your device than what is included in that package.

Eample: upgrade the Gtalk client or Doc's to Go, and the Desktop manager will see a different version, and kick off the prompt for "upgrade" even though it may really be a "down grade"

Mark,

Thanks but that's the set I installed last week, so not sure why it now wants to change them.

Got the phone on launch day + 1. Installed the desktop manager on my PC and attached my storm. It showed there were updates available to the phone. Those updates were NOT the .75 OS. I still had .65 after all the updating. I physically had to go out and find the .75 leak to get that. Verizon hasn't officially released anything yet.
