My phone has done this before, but not for this long

I have had it red light on me....just turn off and then fully turn on again, usually to a fully functioning screen etc

But just today it turns on to "searching" which soon turns to "no service"

Earlier it did this for about 30 mins before going back to functionality, then after about 30 mins of that...it hasnt connected to any networks since

I have done a factory reset with JL cmder, but this hasnt helped....any ideas??? please?

I'm running what i can only assume is the most recent...or close OS 4.5

Bad weather? Fringe area? I live in an area that is supposed to have "excelent" coverage from AT&T but this past weekend we had horrible weather, heavy low clouds and rain. Both my 8310 and my daughter's propel were lucky to have service 10% of the weekend. According to what AT&T likes to call tech support there were no problems. Monday morning still a problem but by Monday evening all was well. Then again the weather had cleared off and the signal is usually worse at least by me on humid rainy days. <shrugs>

Did you try pulling the battery with the device still on and then letting it reboot?

That cures many ills.
