Wow, really? I didnt know that, I apologize completely! I didnt mean to break any rules. Disregard and delete the thread for me please. Thanks, and sorry again!
Don't even THINK of posting betas here. It is strictly against forum policy.
Really? So it is OK to post a link to a BlackBerryNews blog post that has a Beta OS link in it? It seems kind of backwards that posting beta links is against policy but posting a link to a link is alright?
See. I could post this link, because its on BlackBerryNews.com: http://www.blackberrynews.com/2009/0...leaked-online/
But inside that article is a link to the Beta OS file. I would post it here but its "against forums policy".

There are many posts which say "look in BlackBerryNews".
BlackBerryNews and BlackBerryForums are owned by the same person and managed by some of the same individuals. I hate to point out the obvious, but it really makes no sense. I'm tired of hearing "that's how it is". Make a decision and stick to it instead of having loop holes.

Raptor, I can tell you that the futures of BBF and BBN are diverging. BBF has a policy of not allowing links to leaked or unreleased OS builds, or software. BBN will continue to report on available beta/leaked/unreleased/officially released OS Builds.

Thank you Shaun for giving me a complete and thorough answer regarding this issue. No thanks to NJ for his extremely detailed answer of "BlackBerryNews is not BlackBerryForums." and zerog46's helpful response of "That's the way it is... ".

Well I'm sorry you don't like it. The owner of the site can do as he wishes. He doesn't have to answer to you or anyone else. And for that matter neither do I.

Well you will continue hearing it so please just drop it. You don't have all the facts surrounding this scenario and the subsequent decisions regarding this topic. As a result, you are not in a position to say whether or not it makes sense.
