My apologies in advance if this has already been asked/answered however, I haven't been able to find a mention of it so.....
Is anyone aware of functionality via an existing RIM or after market application that would allow one to send/receive SMS messages from the desktop? I heard a rumor that the DM 4.3 would allow this but have not been able to find it within the software.
Ideally I'd like to be able to send/receive SMS messages using my desktop's full sized keyboard, and have those message sent out via my attached BlackBerry.
I don't know of one that will allow you to GET your SMS on your PC (afterall SMS is sent your cellphone number) or to type it on your PC and send it via your BB...
Maybe you need a Bluetooth full sized keyboard for your BB?
Thanks for that info. I suggest this is possible because Motorola Phone Tools had something similar I was able to exploit using my old Razr. MPT had an interface to the mobile device that allowed the functionality of sending/receiving SMS from the desktop via the attached mobile device. Pretty slick indeed.
