i know this may sound wack but i am a little scared to do all this, because deleting stuff is sorta bad because im gunna freak if i have to reload everything back onto my BB if something gets messed up, but i will try that (i have been avoiding it as much as possible)

and it takes me forever to even send a text - so the time has come

thx avelasqu

Where can one get these movies?

Just do a Search on Blackberry Video Converter and you can convert DVDs into a file that the BB can read. I would make sure that you are converting movies that you own, as it is legal to do so.

How does the 8330 do with picture quality and sound on such movies?

The 8310 supports a 4gb card. I purchased 2 from newegg.com for less than $50 including shipping

In case anyone is looking for a new card...I just ordered a 4gb from Amazon.com, got it for under $19 shipped ($13.99 + shipping) . Looks like they've gone up a buck or 2 but still right around $20 for 4 Gb. Here's a link: Amazon.com: Used and New: Sandisk 4GB MicroSDHC Memory Card with SD Adapter (BULK Packaging)

I believe the new curve will support 8GB.
It does. I'm running a Sandisk 8 gig SDHC card without a problem.

Confirmed on the 8gig... Works like a charm

Have you actually backed up your device lately. I used to be scared to but if you keep a current backup you can't loose everything. My company depends so much on Blackberry we not only back up but keep two spare devices up to date . Just two weekends ago my VP was deepsea fishing and we had a little salt water intrusion and his device went crazy.

After getting back on shore we pulled the SIM and changed a few things on his BIS account and he was up and running again.

If you back-up and follow the directions to the letter, you will find it works quite well.

I'm using a 8GB SanDisk card and it works flawless. I got mine for $67.99 @

Canada Computers - Flash Memory/Drives > Secure Digital > microSD Cards : SanDisk microSDHC 8GB with Adapter and SD/SDHC Reader - TransFlash (SDSDQR-8192).

So check it out if your from Ontario GTA area. Much better deal compared to Tigerdirect.

So my Transcend Class 4 8GB card read fine through the Blackberry, but not on the PC side with adapter. I am able to read my PNY 1GB via PC through the adapter that it came with as well as the Transcend adapter. Any ideas what is going on here?

your PC doesnt have a microSDHC adapter. Use the BlackBerry as your card reader.

Wow. Yes, no, maybe, need to update the OS, it's carrier dependent... I'm so lost.

I have a 8310 with OS v4.2.2.163 and I'm with Rogers Wireless.
Future Shop has the SanDisk microSDHC 4GB on sale today for $34.99. Is it going to work in my device?

Never mind. Sale was ending, so I went ahead and bought the card as they said I could return it. Answer is yes, works fine on my 8310 with OS v4.2.2...
