"Mark all prior items opened" Confirmation?

I don't know about the rest of you, but I use the "Mark Prior Opened" feature often and wonder if any of you do the same? I just upgraded to 4.5.0.42 from 4.2 on my Curve and this is the first nuisance I have noticed. Plus the fact that with the default themes of 4.5 the "Mark Opened" option does not initially show, and I have to scroll up to pick it to confirm. Does anyone know if/how to turn off the confirmation?
