If you're currently on your work's BES, removing your IT policy is ill-advised.

Is this a company device? That is where the IT policy might be coming from. Not sure if removing it is that simple. Our company has an IT policy that prohibits all the items you list.

If this is a device you purchased used, and it still resides on the device, search for IT policy removal on this forum and you should find what you need.

Sorry for the dust up. I don't have an IT policy on my phone. I new to the technical side of how my 8100 works I'm just trying to find a way to work around my not being able to sign in to my AIM, WLM, Yahoo and GoogleTalk Messengers. I'm disappointed because a few months ago I could sign in and use GoogleTalk. Then all of a sudden, I can't sign in. I get "service is not enabled for this handheld". I just wanted to know what went 'wrong' and if there was a way around it.

Have you talked to your provider? there might be something incorrectly provisioned (I am out of my realm here).

Do a battery pull
Resend service books

Check to see if you can log in...
