I have set google mail to "beep" in the settings and in the profiles but when i get an e-mail it still wont alert me.

any ideas?

make sure your setting is not on mute

nope they are not on mute, ive set the tone for the new e-mail to alert me, but cant for the life on me work out while its not notifying me.
