have similar question about their ext battery for 7250
they dont claim to be anything other than "aggregators" of existing products. it appears they add a premium for newer hard to get stuff. fair enough, but they don't give detailed specs such as dimensions
This Moftware Tech battery says it is an "Extended Battery" but also says it is 1000mAhr. The battery that comes with the 7100 model is already 1000mAhr, so where does the "extended" come in? Shouldn't it be higher?
The response I got was that the batteries are 3x that of the standard. I'll be honest, I didn't get a real warm feeling talking to the guy. Think I'll wait and get the battery through Cingular.
K12,
If this were an "extended" life battery it would have to be bigger in size than the standard battery. Take a look at the Nextel Extended life battery for example. You would need a larger battery door covering to fit over the battery to use it as the standard issue battery door would not fit. I don't trust this website myself (own opinion) 1000 mAhr is not 3X the power of the original OEM battery, it is the same. Even the standard battery for other blackberry handhelds (72XX, 75XX, 77XX) is 900 mAhr.
Just my two cents!
I'm usually not one to talk about a competitor but it seems they are trying to promote "fairy dust"... they should be ashamed to sell something that clearly isn't "better" than the standard capacity OEM and may be worse. And to boot they charge 2x what we sell the OEM extended Battery (1800mAh) for. BlackBerry users talk - and when they have something good or bad to say about the product people find out.
One thing folks - DO NOT BUY AFTERMARKET BATTERIES OR CHARGERS They are rarely what they seem.
