My problem is exactly what people have stated. For the ones who talked about Reconciling, thats where I'm stuck. Someone said their Yahoo works hand in hand with blackberry. How do you have it synched so if you read an email from your blackberry, it will show as read when you check it on a PC? I have my work email setup and I get copies sent to my Outlook inbox as well as my BB. Well, if I have Outlook Express closed, then it will only come to my BB. If I have Outlook Express open, it will only come to outlook. But its not in real time if I do it like that. I have to wait the 15 minutes for it to poll. I'm trying to get my emails to work in the same fashion. Where if I have outlook open 24/7 , I can control the BB emails from outlook or vice versa. If outlook is open and I'm in front of the PC, I don't need to get those 40 emails to my BB also. How can this be fixed?

Can a BB auto-reconcile? Or do you have to actually choose the "reconcile now" everytime you delete email?

Keep in mind that this Yahoo vs. gMail thing, it also depends on your carrier.

For Verizon Wireless, both Yahoo and gMail are pushed.

For Cingular Wireless, only gMail is pushed, Yahoo is still being pulled.

Don't know about others.

Yahoo reconciles with my BB perfectly. Gmail, I can delete, but it will not mark it read in Gmail. You have to log in to do that every once in a while.

I don't use Outlook so I don't know about that.

Do other people not have this problem with Gmail?

Yahoo: Set a FROM address on the BIS to what you like, and mail you send from your BB appears to come from that address.

Gmail: Set a FROM address on the BIS to what you like, and mail you send from your BB appears to come from you GMAIL address, with a REPLY TO set to your custom address. Thus you GMAIL address is revealed to all

When I delete from my handheld, it marks the email as read on the Gmail server and stores it in 'All Mail'. But it no longer stores it in the Inbox. Fine by me.

I've heard gmail is much better and doesn't have the same issue with delays. Before I change my email address I'd love some feedback.

Gmail or Yahoo?

Thanks in advance!

Gmail is much better than Yahoo! I use BES and have domains for my important mail, but I also use Gmail for other mail, like communicating with friends, and stuff like that, and when I first set it up, I had a few problems because of the volume of mail that was passing through, and every now and then I had to disable and re-enable POP on the Gmail side, but a month later, I have not had to do that anymore. No problems to report since then. I love Gmail.

I use Cingular though. T-mobile might be experiencing growing pains. I started to get a handset with them as well, but with all the reported problems, I think I will just stick with one handset through Cingular.

What if you don't want to delete it from the handheld?
