Speaking of Gmail, is there a way to stop emails I compose online in Gmail that get sent to my BB?
For example I'm on my computer now and wrote an email on Gmail to a contact, and then it shows on my BB, I don't want that to happen.

Yes. In your settings in BIS set the following filter:
If any of these conditions are true: From : Contains : "YOU"@gmail.com
Set to DO NOT FORWARD MESSAGES TO HANDHELD

For the record...My gmail appears to work well with the 7100i ... If I check gmail, the message is read, however I choose not to save sent messages on the server side, so I have not tested this...I will check my gmail closer and see if I can duplicate your problems...I've only had the thing w/gmail for about 2 weeks now. - Previously had the 7520...
As for Nextel, currently the Nextel Unlimited plan is $69.99 for the minutes that I have...

There is one more way to achieve the desired results. Under Messages=>Messages Options =>Email Filters select To & Bcc and Cc. This way only the emails which have your name under any of the above fields would be sent to you which pretty much means everything except your sent items.

I'm not on BES and I use gmail. I just turn forwarding on in gmail (with auto archiving) when I want messages sent to my handheld and turn it off when I don't. I also bcc all messages I send from the handheld to my gmail account, which just puts a copy in my inbox, not in the sent mail folder. I don't get any sort of reconciliation this way.
"... If I check gmail, the message is read, ..."
Are you saying that you get email reconciliation with gmail? What's your setup? Are you on BES?

Way too much noise in this thread, sorry if the following was already answered.

Yeah, you can just get T-Mobile's BB unlimited data plan for 29.99 a month. I think they're having deals on 7290/7100t for pretty cheap now.
Also, I have T-Mobile and it reconciles perfectly (using Yahoo mail). I'm pretty sure the reason this is not on other carriers is the system was developed inhouse by T-Mobile. RIM doesn't provide functionality for non BES users to reconcile transparently. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this..)

Somewhere earlier in this thread is a link to a post which explains everything. Try going there for the answers.

I get the same thing. I'm on a 7100t, also when I receive an email from my Gmail account and I want to reply, I can only reply from my BB email address, is there a way to reply with my Gmail address?

I can't use bbReply either. I have it running in the bg but it doesn't change a single f'ing thing in my compose area. I've posted this problem like 3 times now with no responses. Anyone get bbReply to work on a 7100i?

wtf? you don't need bbreply to do that. go to the website where you setup the internet email for your provider and you can change the reply from address from the BB one to the one that is forwarding. That is exactly how mine is setup. I get email from gmail and when i reply it comes from that address...

I think meant changing the address "on the fly", or replying using the email address that the message was sent to.

AS the name implies the BBreply is for replys not for composing new ones. The way to use it is to reply to the message and once it is composed before you send it you click on the track wheel and choose set reply to (assuming you have set up already in advance the different addresses you want to use, then you would choose from the list the one you would want the reply to come too).
