to make it work you cant just change the #1 or letter "W" speed dial to *86 and put in your password.... as i found out today, you actually have to use the "dial Voicemail" from your phone>click trackwheel>then selcet call voicemail....

now, if only i could find a way to make this "call voicemail" a speeddial.....

When I go to the Phone app, Options, then Voice Mail, the changes I make do autopopulate to the 1 speed-dial.

If this is not working for you, however, you could simply set any other speed-dial key to be *86 with the requisit pauses, password, etc.

Goto the phone application
Click the track wheel, Select Options
Select Voice Mail
LEAVE THE ACCESS NUMBER ALONE
Under additional numbers do the following:
Click the track wheel, and select "Add Pause"
Type a Pound sign
Type your password
Click the track wheel and save.

Press & hold your W (1) key, and presto-changeo, your voice mail is dialed and password inserted. You may need to add another "Pause" if it takes longer to connect.

To get the Voicemail (as programmed under Phone>options>voicemail ) number to be in the #1 (or W) speeddial all you have to do is pull the battery. atleast, thats what was suggested earlier in this thread and it worked for me!

thanks, this site is great!
