I'm a new user to BB. I just got an 8830, but have a lot of information synced from my Palm via my MAC.

I set a Password on the Password keeper, but set one too complex. I think I remember it, but it involved numbers, letters, and a symbol. I think I am having trouble getting all the upper case,lowercase, numerics, and alternate character keys to match what I originally set.

I'm now at attempt 7/10 and it doesn't look promising.

I do have a backup from several days ago. If I resync, will I at least have everything except the Password Keeper recoverable?

What do I do? The manual seems to say everything will be erased if I exceed the 10 trials with errors. Should I do a final sync and then somehow do a "hard" reset of the machine with a full resync to my computer?

My goal is all the info I have now on the BB with the Password Keeper in the initialization mode. Is that possible?

Never done it myself but the Password Keeper should be independent of the BlackBerry. If anything you will loose everything in the Password Keeper.

Should you wipe out the Password Keeper data you can do an Advance restore and just restore the PasswordKeep.

That's correct. If you enter the wrong password in PK too many times it only wipes the password keeper database. Everything else is retained. I'm guessing you can restore the PK database only and get another 10 tries.
