It would be nice to see it ON an 8100... the whole top/front of the 8100 is one piece, so I'm wondering where the film stops and starts. Is it fully fitted (like a circular cutout around the trackball edge)?

Yes, it is fully fitted. Once applied, you won't even know it's there. There is no interference with any of the 8100s controls.

it doesn't reach the trackball or go near the blackberry logo on the other end. it is WAY tight dimensionally to the LCD itself. I wish I could get to this pic I just took, got the angle and lighting just so to see the guard. gotta wait til I get to a sd reader at home. sorry.

yes, hard lexan cover you've been looking for. I am very happy with this guard. with this, the rubberized case and holster I am set.

Default Did I get the wrong one?

I ordered my 8100 screen guard from them along with the black skin (which I love). However, the screen guard I am not happy with... it said "for model 7100i" and when I applied it, I get a not so great seal around the trackball and it extends only to half-way up in the blackberry logo and looks like crap. It should have been curved as mentioned earlier, and extended more at teh top and curved to match the skin I received.

I suspect I may have gotten the wrong one sent to me (invoice said 8100 model number).... maybe someone can shed some light for me?

Default hmmm...

seidio's guard seems like a sheet of lexan in comparison. it is minimally larger than the LCD screen so placement is important. but once it is on I can't see it. just a super clear, shiney, scratch free screen.
yeah, it does have nice "sheen" to it, but try it with their SKIN and you will see the top doesnt seem to match right... I am looking forward to hearing someone who got the SKIN AND SCREENGUARD as I did... I will also add that my screenguard said it was for the MODEL 7100i and the invoice clearly said I ordered the 8100 screenguard. Maybe Seidio sent me the wrong one?

Does this COMPLETELY sit inside your new JET BLACK SKIN? I ordered both and the thing cuts off in the middle of the blackberry logo and looks less than perfect.

i got screenguardz but am unhappy with them. they scratch way too easily and it makes the screen looks dirty.
okay, here is the skin over the guard. you can't see the guard really well in most lighting situations so it disappears with the skin. does the skin overlap? not a bit. do you (I) notice it? not a bit. really liking the skin. waiting on the rubberized case, should be here early next week.

sorry, no experience with BSE. I've always assumed those were the soft filmy kind of things. this guard is a stiff piece of (probably) lexan or something similar. with the skin on there is no way I'm gonna accidentally catch a corner and peel it off.

I just recieved my ultimate screen guard yesterday and installed it last night. I have to say I'm impressed. at first blush I wasn't sure. I'd only used the soft filmy screen covers before. but they always seem to make the pearl's LCD look fuzzy and needed to be replaced at least every few weeks. seidio's guard seems like a sheet of lexan in comparison. it is minimally larger than the LCD screen so placement is important. but once it is on I can't see it. just a super clear, shiney, scratch free screen. I am now a believer.

Another product I am going to have to order now from Seidio. I have bought a lot from them as of late. I think I'll have to choose USPS for delivery though as FedEx is charging me duty and/or GST on the products because it's from the US and coming into Canada. FedEx just informed me that they'll bill me for it and not worry about paying it to the delivery guy.

OoOo, I'd like to see how this compares to the BSE skin.

edit: got the pic!
this REALLY highlights the guard. you can't see it in normal light at all! seems tough as nails too. (oops is that trademark infringement?) I'll get the skin on and get another pic up soon

dang, looks like i'm gonna have to order one with my rubberized case. i've been waiting for a super thin lexan undetectable screen cover, this looks like it's what i'm looking for.

Default Wtf?

the pic of that screen guard is NOT the same one I got from SEIDIO. Mine said 7100i on the bag and it extends too far up into the blackberry logo and not like yours EJM.

They clearly (no pun intended) sent me the wrong one.
Good to know
