I find that with only two letters per key, there is rarely more than one word possible. My Pearl even knows surnames. And if you type something that requires that you make a choice, that the Pearl remembers that word so you never have to do it another time. It's like it knows what I'm trying to type. So.... it makes typing on the SureType the same as on a normal keyboard, but my fingers don't miss as much.

That's why I like the Pearl. Maybe it's the name that influenced your opinion. Maybe they could call it the Bruno, or the Sluggo.

Have had both. The Curve, to me, is a better device.

When I get old I will want a bigger screen, for sure.

I got a Curve after having used a Pearl, and can relate to what you say- the Pearl is more manly. Girls seem to like the Curve as it is more ladylike. You hold it with both hands, and tend to set it down like a mini computer, while the Pearl is more organic in nature, just naturally fitting the hand and pocket. Less obtrusive. I plan to go back to the Pearl. My girlfriend is happy with her Curve, however. I wish all Blackberrys had more device memory, though. Maybe soon. Memory is cheap. I don't know why they are so skimpy in this regard.

Size is important to me, the Pearl is about as big as I'd want to go for carrying a device around in my pocket and holding up to my ear while on a call. Women don't seem to care so much about phone size, I guess they tend to lug it in a handbag anyway.

The Pearl is great if you want a small PDA and if for example you have a computer at work then you can use it to receive emails when you're out of the office or something...

I started with the Pearl and got used to the Suretype keyboard really quickly. I like the device, although I did just purchase a Curve
