Default Google Maps on a Blackberry = www.freek.ca

Please Login to Remove!

If you'd like to use Google Maps on your Blackberry please visit www.freek.ca and download the HelloWorld Map Browser.

There are two version one for BES users and the other one for TCP/WAP connections.

Now you can enjoy Google Maps from your blackberry device. Never be lost again.

Enjoy!!!

This is the best free map application that I've ever seen on a handheld! It's great.

I can't get the satilite pictures to work though. Do they work for anyone else?

Default Google Maps Sat Pics

The Sat Pics work for me but they are a bit dark on my 7100t.

Nice, much faster than Mobile Google Maps. However, it could use a better icon.

This is one of the coolest apps I have seen for the BB - definate wow factor, especially when showing off to non-BB people......

When the 7520 GPS option is available, this will be the Uber-app!!!!!!!!!

Definately needs a sexier icon, though.

Downloaded it this morning. I have a 7100t in the UK running OS 3.8. It would not come OTA...I got a 907 invalid JAR error, and I also got the 302 error on testing the connection...but it works great.

Sorry this ones just working for me. Downloaded the BES version and installed. When I run a search it looks like it's searching (data up and down arrows) and then abruptly quits and does nothing further.

Well it didn't work the first time as it froze the berry. I had to do the three finger salute on it. next time I loaded the BES version and it downloaded fine. haven't quite figured out what to search for but it looks pretty good so far.

Angry why am I the only one that can't get this to work?

OK....people in the office are looking at me funny because I'm swearing out loud; I can't get this to work!!!
I've tried to go to both links on my BB to download the application but both times I get the 907 error.
I've also tried to add the .axl file through the application loader but I get an error that no additional software designed for your handheld were found.
Now last time I got that error was because I hadn't added the right version of handheld system software to my pc, but it's definitely on there now.
I've got version 4.0.0.215 on my 7100.

What am I doing wrong?

Your not the only one!

I've got a 7100 as well and couldn't get it to work either. Is anyone else out there using this app sussessfully on a 7100g? I'm runing all of the latest software and I am using a BES.
