That is different, I didn't get the error until I used one of my old bookmarks or history.

I tried this out last night, til about 4am. It's kinda limiting, I can't fing a way to transfer calendar events or contacts over, have to re-type them. And that stupid it policy which you can't seem to control. Does anybody know where your contacts and calendar evets reside when added to Unite.

Contacts - Any items your create on the device, will only be on the device. Any items you add via web console will be added to your device.

Calendar - Unless you mark a calendar item private, it is a two way sync.

On the server end, both are kept at MSDE/SQL Express.

You can adjust your setting under control, default services and change them back off of unite as default...that will give you some control back again

One word of caution : it will set IT POLICY on your blackberry. I still can't get around it. Now I can't use the shortcut for several programs such as : CNN, ESPNWEB, and VIIGO.

I'm not on any BES server, and would like to know whether someone has done resetting IT policy on their BB. Thanks

You can get on the net, just not with the history and bookmarks, you need to reset them. The IT Policy can't be changed, just a wipe to remove it.

Has anyone used this on a 4.5 OS? I have removed the service books for Unite from the device and I don't see any traces of the Unite IT Policy.

It also looks like if the BES IT Policy is active, it overwrites Unite's. See this - Frequently asked questions - Device management.

I tried disable browsing and restrict outgoing calls, neither worked. I was still able to browse and make calls. So the doc is correct to say the least.

I do not have any problem using the internet BUT the PC where I have UNITE installed has to be on. If it is off, I get the "Blocked by policy" message. I hate this program and I want to remove it.

I surrendered and did a wipe..I will wait for Unite! 2.0 to come out when all this crap is addressed...maybe then it will work the way I think everyone thought it was suppose to work, instead of how it did work
