Default HOW TO DVD to Blackberry Bold Full Screen like Speed Racer Clip !

Please Login to Remove!

I have been looking for the perfect DVD to Blackberry Bold for weeks and I finally found it !! This is as close to the Speed Racer clip quality ! The software is called Cucusoft Ultimate DVD Converter. I have tried all of them on this forum and elsewhere and none can compete ! Just google Cucusoft Ultimate DVD Converter ( download the second one not the first one on the products download list ) This is a free trial so it leaves a free trial watermark but regardless you can convert a full movie no limitation except if the watermark bothers you and you will have to buy the program but its worth it !

1} Open Cucusoft program

2} You will get DVD, Video and Exit options. Click on DVD. Click on accept
agreement. Then click on accept continue evaluation.

3} Insert your DVD close any program that you have running. If your movie
starts to immediately play just close it.

4} Once your DVD is in you click on openDVD. Now select your DVD that you
inserted. Just click on the tittle of the movie and click ok ( if you double
click on the movie you will get the video ts files that you dont need just
click on the tittle of the movie and click OK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

5} Movie will load up and a pop "fast forward to dvd menu" will
appear. It will fast forward it for you at the start of the movie and will
start to play at the beginning of the movie.

6} By this time the movie should be playing and just let it play

7} On the bottom right your going to change the profile to "H.264 Movie (.mp4)" You can afterward rename it to Blackberry Bold so you dont have to search for it !

8} On the crop your going to change it to "crop both black bands"

9} On the resize your going to change it to "stretch to full screen"

10} On the output is where ever your storing your movies

11} IF YOU DONT FOLLOW THIS STEP IT WONT FILL UP YOUR SCREEN !!!
Go to the top left and select settings. Then go to profile settings. The
H.264 Movie .mp4 should be the profile that you will change. Now go to
video options. Under video options you will change the video size to
530x360 ( click on it to change it ) After just close it there is no save it
saves it for you.

12} Now hit convert. You will get a pop up and you will be able to change
the name the movie if you like or leave it alone. Now choose convert
from the beginning. Now hit yes !!! ENJOY !!

ANY QUESTIONS EMAIL ME I WILL RESPOND I KNOW HOW FRUSTRATING IT HAS BEEN TO FIND THE BEST DVD TO BOLD ! ALSO I WILL BE UPDATING THIS POST WHEN I RECEIVE MY BLACKBERRY STORM ON ATT !! HOW TO DVD TO BLACKBERRY STORM !!!

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

Is the trial only limited to the watermark they put on the movie, or is it only a 7day thing???

Ive had this program for 9 days and it worked perfectly ! There is no trial expiration only the watermark appears ! I bought the program after the 9 days due to the watermark but either than that your good to go forever with that watermark !! Ive converted about 23 movies with the watermark but I got annoyed with the watermark after watching several movies so I just bought it ! This software also converts to iPhone ( or any other phone/ipod ) perfectly ! Its worth its price !

I tried to use this software. I downloaded it, but evertime I tried to convert a video, the program would start to run, then shut down. Anyone else having the same issues?

Make sure you dont have anything running except the program itself. Run the program first. When you get the menu hit DVD. After that insert your DVD. Sometimes Windows will open it up in another program like the media player. If it opens it up with windows media click it off. Then proceed to the steps openDVD.

I will try that. But I was trying to convert a video file, not a DVD. Have you tried just converting a video file?

Search the forums...there's plenty of folks asking (and answering this question).

Here's one:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-one-step.html

Scroll down, you'll see someone mentions "Handbrake" is the software used on the Mac.

Software doesn't work very well. Audio doesn't sync up with the video. However the video quality is pretty good.

If you do a Google you can find 50% off coupons for this. I bought it for my (former) iPhone 3G and it worked great (no a/v sync problem) but haven't tried it yet on the BOLD.

DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 (to rip the DVD to the hard drive as a single .VOB file) and iPod Video Converter (from Red Kawa) work just as well, and both programs are free.

Has anyone found a "all-in-one solution" for converting video to play on the Bold that:
  1. Works w/ both DVDs and video files (particularly iTunes m4v DRM files)
  2. Is relatively easy to use
  3. Works well on Vista Home Premium w/o installing all sorts of garbage that I don't want / need

I am willing to pay $30 - $50 or so for such a program (although free is obviously better).

It looks like TuneBite Platinum is a pretty good program for converting DRM iTunes videos into mp4s that can go on the Bold. However I used a previous version (v. 5 vs. v.6 which is out now) and every video I tried had the audio out of sync w/ the video - audio was way ahead. I was testing v.5 on my laptop which may not have enough horsepower to do this properly - although it never crashed. The program costs $40 and I am thinking of buying v.6 and trying it out on my quad core Dell (Vista Home Premium). However I don't believe the program lets you convert DVDs. So it's probably not the ideal solution.

I am somewhat familiar w/ the various video formats but by no means am an expert when it comes to this stuff so if someone could help me out I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

I tried this - it is OK - but the quality is not even close to the speed racer clip - I would say it is fair to poor at best.

I think DVDFab is a great all in one solution. I have had great success with this. I just ripped Hulk 2, and watched it on my Bold. I did 2 pass, and had the file size at 2GB, so the quality was really good.

I did notice that every 20seconds or so, the movie would hiccup for a really brief moment, but I am certain that is because of the Bold player, since this also happens when I watch the Speed Racer promo. Does anyone know how to fix this? Also, while watching Hulk, my Bold seemed to get hotter on the underside. Has anyone noticed the same thing when watching a movie for an extended period of time?
