Has anyone found a "all-in-one solution" for converting video to play on the Bold that:
- Works w/ both DVDs and video files (particularly iTunes m4v DRM files)
- Is relatively easy to use
- Works well on Vista Home Premium w/o installing all sorts of garbage that I don't want / need
I am willing to pay $30 - $50 or so for such a program (although free is obviously better).
It looks like TuneBite Platinum is a pretty good program for converting DRM iTunes videos into mp4s that can go on the Bold. However I used a previous version (v. 5 vs. v.6 which is out now) and every video I tried had the audio out of sync w/ the video - audio was way ahead. I was testing v.5 on my laptop which may not have enough horsepower to do this properly - although it never crashed. The program costs $40 and I am thinking of buying v.6 and trying it out on my quad core Dell (Vista Home Premium). However I don't believe the program lets you convert DVDs. So it's probably not the ideal solution.
I am somewhat familiar w/ the various video formats but by no means am an expert when it comes to this stuff so if someone could help me out I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.
