Quick question. I just purchased an extra Nokia so that I can use it when I go to the beach and not have to worry about something happening to my Blackberry. I was wondering if the Blackberry Internet Plan would allow me to go on the internet on my phone or would I be charged because I am not browsing the internet from a Blackberry device.

I'm pretty sure that there are others here that have done just that. I remember a thread where this was up for debate, and a few people chimed in saying that they do that with their BB and RAZR on the weekends.

You should be ok. IIRC TMO provisions WAP access for BB's and if your Nokia requires GPRS/EDGE data (they make a wide range of devices) you should be ok as well since the BB data plan is in essence a GPRS/EDGE data plan with access to the BB APN's.

Well I got in touch with TMobile and they said that because the BB Data Plan ties itself to a certain BB serial number it won't work, but I am going to call again and see what a different rep as to say.

BIS ties itself to the PIN. The GPRS/EDGE access does not. You don't need to use BIS with the Nokia. In fact, you can't use BIS with a Nokia phone... You just need GPRS/EDGE or WAP, depending on the model.
